Privacy
The studio
Touch Wood Studio is an events studio in India. Meghana Kondury is its founder. For personal data collected through this website, the studio decides why that data is used and how it is handled. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the studio is the Data Fiduciary.
This notice follows that Act and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. It describes the personal data this website processes, the purpose of each use, how to withdraw consent, how to use your rights, and how to complain.
The person who answers questions about your personal data is Meghana Kondury, Founder, Touch Wood Studio. Write to touchwoodstudio.co@gmail.com to withdraw consent, correct or delete information, ask for a summary of what the studio holds, or raise a grievance. Sending that email is enough. The studio will respond within ninety days, and sooner where it can.
What the site processes
Each item below is the personal data, the purpose, and the use it enables.
- When you open a page, the host receives your IP address, browser and device type, the page address, the date and time, and the referring page. Purpose: deliver the page, keep the site available, and protect it from abuse. The host is Vercel, Inc., which may process this outside India, including in the United States.
- The booking form on this website is the studio's Google Calendar form. That form collects the details needed to hold the call. Those details usually include your name, email address, the time you choose, and any note you write. Purpose: schedule the 30-minute discovery call, send the video link, prepare for the conversation, and follow up on the event you asked about. Google receives the booking in the studio's Google account, and may process it outside India, including in the United States. The call is on Google Meet.
- The Patron's Lounge is not open. The site does not create an account and does not collect a password. Before the lounge collects account data, this notice will be updated.
The site does not sell personal data. It does not use personal data for third-party advertising. It does not ask for payment card numbers, Aadhaar numbers, or other government identity numbers.
Children
This website is for adults arranging an event, for themselves or for a brand. Under the Act, a child is a person who has not completed 18 years of age. The studio does not knowingly process a child's personal data. If you are under 18, do not book a call and do not send personal data to the studio. If the studio learns that it has received a child's personal data, it will delete that data. The studio does not track children and does not build advertising profiles of children.
Who else handles it
Vercel, Inc. hosts the website. Google handles the booking form on this website, and handles the video call on Google Meet. People at the studio who are preparing your call can see the details you submitted for that call. The studio may also disclose information where Indian law, a court, or a competent authority requires it.
The Act allows personal data to be transferred outside India unless the Central Government restricts the destination. As of the date of this notice, the studio is not relying on any restricted-country list that would bar the providers named above. If a restriction is notified, the studio will follow it.
How long it is kept
- Host logs are kept for security and operations for the period the host retains them. Where the Rules require the studio to keep personal data and processing logs, the studio keeps them for at least one year, including so a lawful request from the State can be answered, and then deletes them unless another law requires a longer record.
- A booking is kept while the studio needs it for the call and the follow-up, and for that same minimum period where the Rules require it. Records of a paid engagement are kept for the period tax or accounting law requires.
If you withdraw consent, the studio stops using the data to prepare your call and stops using it for any new purpose. The studio deletes it when the purpose is finished and any legal minimum period has ended.
Security and breaches
Pages are served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). This website does not keep a database of client accounts. When a booking is made through the studio's Google Calendar, it is stored in the studio's Google account, and access is limited to the people at the studio who are handling that call.
If the studio becomes aware of a personal data breach, it will tell each affected person without delay, in plain language: what happened, when it happened, the likely consequences for that person, what the studio is doing, what the person can do, and how to reach the studio. The studio will also tell the Data Protection Board of India without delay, and will send the fuller report within 72 hours, or within any longer time the Board allows.
Your rights
Under the Act, you may ask the studio for:
- a summary of the personal data being processed, and of the processing
- the identities of the other data fiduciaries and processors with whom it has been shared
- correction, completion, or updating of data that is inaccurate or incomplete
- erasure, unless the law requires the studio to keep it
- a response to a grievance
- nomination of another person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to exercise them
Write to touchwoodstudio.co@gmail.com. The studio's grievance redressal will respond within a reasonable period, and within ninety days at the latest.
You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India. The Board was established with its headquarters in the National Capital Region, and it functions as a digital office. On the date of this notice, the Board has not published a public complaint link for the studio to add here. When that channel is published, this page will link to it. An appeal from an order or direction of the Board lies to the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal. Nothing in this notice takes away a right the Act gives you.
Project stories on this site
Case studies, client names, figures, and quotes on this website are samples made to show the studio's formats. They are not results for a real client, and they are not endorsements or testimonials. A named person in a sample quote is not representing that the person engaged the studio.
The name, the logo, and the founders
The Touch Wood Studio name, logo, words, and pictures on this site belong to the studio. You may look at them to decide whether to talk to the studio. Copying the logo or the site for another business needs the studio's permission.
The About page names Meghana Kondury because she is the founder. This website does not publish the founders' home address, personal phone number, personal email, or government identity numbers. Those details stay private. Please use touchwoodstudio.co@gmail.com for a privacy request, and the event-planning call for a project. Do not collect, publish, or reuse the founders' names or photographs as an endorsement or as a personal profile.
A booking is a request for a conversation
Choosing a time on the studio's Google Calendar holds the 30-minute call, and Google sends the video link. An event, including its scope, date, and fees, is agreed in writing before the studio is engaged. The studio may cancel a call or decline a project. Reading this website does not create that engagement.
Changes
If the studio changes what it collects or why, it will update this page and the date at the top. A new purpose gets its own notice before the studio relies on consent for that purpose. This notice describes the studio's own practices. For advice on a specific matter, speak to an advocate.
